About Michelle Hert
Nutrition Researcher & Product Tester
Michelle writes every review on Is It Worth It. Her focus is simple: show readers what is actually inside a supplement, how much it really costs, and what the research does and does not say, before they spend money on it.
Why this site exists
Most supplements sold online are promoted through ads and sales pages that highlight a few ingredients and skip the rest. The label often tells a different story: blends that hide individual doses, ingredients studied at much higher amounts, or refund rules with conditions that only show up in the fine print.
Is It Worth It? was created to close that gap. Each review puts the real Supplement Facts panel next to the marketing claims, so readers can make their own decision.
What Michelle checks in every review
- The full label: every ingredient, dose and serving size, read from the product's own Supplement Facts panel.
- The research: how each dose compares with the amounts used in studies, based on public sources such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements and NCCIH.
- The real price: cost per day for each package, shipping, and whether there is any subscription.
- The refund policy: how many days, what conditions apply and how to request it.
- Safety: caffeine, interactions and groups who should talk to a doctor first.
What Michelle does not do
- She does not accept payment or free products in exchange for a rating.
- She does not give medical advice or tell anyone to stop or change medication.
- She does not publish customer testimonials she cannot verify.
- When a product is too new for long-term personal use, the review says so and is based on the label and official terms.
Contact and corrections
If you find an error in a review, such as a price that changed or a label that was updated, we want to fix it. Reviews show the date they were last checked, and we update them when the official information changes.
